The Big Red Barn offers comfortable seating for up to 240 guests, with a maximum capacity of 300 people.
YES! Extend your event experience with on-site camping. Guests are welcome to stay overnight in the designated camping area for an additional charge of $30/ unit. Please note: no amenities are provided. Generators are allowed. No guest pets allowed.
Enjoy full access to the venue from Friday at 10:00 am through Sunday at 1:00 pm with “THE WEEKEND” package. With all other rentals, we will work with you to accommodate your needs.

We are an open vendor venue, so we encourage you to work with the vendors of your choice for anything your event may need.
The Big Red Barn has many settings to capture your unforgettable moments. From lush garden settings to rustic farm-style backdrops, we can help you find the perfect place to match your event’s vibe. There are also places in and around Lacombe if you're looking for something different, including multiple painted murals in historic downtown.
The Big Red Barn is currently open from June through September, making the most of Alberta’s beautiful summer months. We are actively exploring ways to expand our availability in the future- so stay tuned for updates.
Yes, there are several hotels located within a short drive of The Big Red Barn, in both Lacombe and Blackfalds. We can provide recommendations to ensure your guests have convenient, comfortable options nearby.
NO! Due to the historic nature of our building, open flames such as candles are strictly prohibited. The structure’s age and materials make it especially vulnerable to fire, and we’re committed to preserving its charm and integrity for generations to come.
Set up and clean up are the responsibility of the renter and are not included in the rental fee. This includes arranging tables, chairs, décor and ensuring the venue is returned to its original condition after your event. See Add-ons for services available.
YES! 1 Million Dollar Party and Alcohol Liability Insurance (PAL) is required.

$1000 nonrefundable rental deposit is required at booking.
We are delighted to allow fur babies belonging to the Bride and Groom to be part of the special day! They are welcome to join the ceremony and outdoor photo sessions, adding a personal and heartwarming touch to your celebration. A pet contract is required.
Please note: Guest pets are not permitted. This policy helps us maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all attendees while still honouring the couple’s companions.
